A WOW of a Wedding or Anniversary Present! Note the interesting collection of 100% cotton batiks in subtle mist, seafoam and  aqua prints on ivory selected for this quilt. This amazing quilt will work well for a charming and soft bedroom statement. Well-pieced and quilted by a Lancaster Amish woman. Signed and dated by its creator, the well respected quilt designer, C Jean Horst of Lancaster. The back of the quilt is covered with a fine 100% cotton aqua print that coordinates nicely with the top of the quilt. The hand quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is very good with about 8 stitches per inch.  It’s fresh but calm look is lovely.

Here C Jean Horst has used designer Kaffe Fassett’s beautiful new floral 100% cottons to make a strikingly bright but simple log cabin, which is why she calls it Simplicity. She has made a common quilt very unique with her choice of designer fabrics. While each patch is alike, all blocks are working together beautifully to show off an awesome collection of cottons. The lovely part about this quilt is that there is a beautiful feather quilting design going through the lighter side of the patchwork design to create an intricate touch of hand quilting designs. She also has a documentation tag on the back corner which gives the name of the quilt, the maker, the location, the date, and the fabric content as well as a note “made in the USA.”
