One of a kind! 12 absolutely delightful applique and embroidered patches of Sunbonnet Sue, 1 for every month of the year. The embroidery is done entirely by hand and is exceptionally well done with tiny quilting stitches. Primitive school print sash and soft gold metallic border bring it all together. VERY well made by a Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Amish woman. A real treasure! The back of the quilt is covered with a white on white 100% cotton star print fabric. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch.

A delightful collection of cross-stitched flowers! They have a softness that can not be matched with printed fabrics. Golden touches with butterflies that make you feel like you're in a rose garden. Excellent cross stitching that is precise and uniform. Many hours of hand-embroidered work was put into this quilt!! Very well made in Lancaster by an Amish woman.

A very charming country style quilt with a lovely collection of fabric prints! The plum paisley border and tan sash brings the quilt together. Both the piecework and the appliqué work are VERY well done. Notice the high quality of the hand quilting. Made by an Amish woman in her Lancaster County, Pennsylvania home who signed and dated the back. The back of the quilt is covered with a solid off white 100% cotton fabric. A surprisingly delicate applique quilt with lots of quilting. While not a Baltimore Album quilt, this one has a lot of its charming characteristics. The heart blocks also share some of the characteristics of a Country Bride quilt. Great applique work, nicely quilted. Note the applique work on the pillow fold.

Hannah selected the fabrics for this perfectly appliqued quilt. The autumn colors on the light tan background makes the carefully sewn applique work look even sharper! Note the care taken in selecting portions of the printed fabric to use for each piece of applique and how well each is oriented to enhance the overall design. Quite often the quantity and quality of the quilting on this style of quilt leaves a lot to be desired -- not here! Look at the very fine stitching.
