While this quilt doesn't look at old fashioned, the choice of fabrics, the quilting pattern, and the border are all similar to Irish Chain Quilts made in Lancaster in the 19th and early 20th Centuries. Note the rich white on white print used for the background, and the care taken in the quilting and piecework.
