From sunflowers to zinnias, warm hues in golds, reds, oranges and plums play well together.  The flowers are wool and are embellished with embroidery stitching with a Dresden plate at the very center.  To create added interest, she used a number of different neutral prints for the center background square. The quilt is bordered in a green printed fabric to symbolize the color of leaves and how well this color goes with all the colors in nature.
