Karel chose a basket of flowers and used a combination of wool appliqu\u00e9 with traditional appliqu\u00e9 on the central block.  The triple border with small 9-patches in each of the corners highlights each block beautifully.  There&#8217;s plenty of hand-quilting to be seen in the surrounding background triangles.
