The Dresden plates are machine pieced and then hand appliqu\u00e9 to the background squares. \u00a0The are surrounded by Karel&#8217;s signature triple borders and corner squares as sashing. \u00a0Cross-hatching has been hand quilted on the set in triangles to create the \u00a0small diamond design. \u00a0Many different fabrics were used to create the petals on each plate which adds lots of interest.
