Spectacular quilt! Soft sage green complimented by dusty plum colors and very attractive fabrics with a classic combination of Log Cabin and Fan patterns. Fans are difficult to piece well, note the excellence of the piecing and tiny quilting stitches done by the maker of this quilt. Made here in Lancaster County by an Amish woman. The back of the quilt is covered with a beige 100% cotton floral print fabric. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. A very SOFT, pastel, charming country style quilt with a lovely collection of fabric prints! The simple light rose colored country border brings the quilt together. Both the piecework and appliqué work are VERY well done. Notice the high quality of the hand quilting. Made by an Amish woman in her Lancaster County, Pennsylvania home who signed and dated the back. Sharp traditional Classic Amish quilt design! The lighter colored star stands out brilliantly against the black surrounding, and the quilting is in black so it really looks amazing. The sash is medium blue, the border is black with wine corner squares. Note the extra stars on the pillow fold. Made with thin batting and all-cotton fabric to give look and feel of an antique quilt. Well made by local Amish woman in her home who quilted her initials in the bottom corner of the quilt. The back of the quilt is covered with a black 100% cotton solid fabric. Charming! Beautiful traditional Pineapple patchwork pattern, one of the most recognizable and iconically "Americana" styles of quilt patterns. Believed to have emerged in the mid-1800's during Lincoln's presidential campaign, the pineapple quilt is a symbol of hospitality. Excellent patchwork piecing and fine quilting. Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern is one of the most beloved of all vintage quilt patterns! These old quilts can be found many places, but very few new ones are being made. A delightful collection of cross-stitched flowers! They have a softness that can not be matched with printed fabrics. Golden touches with butterflies that make you feel like you're in a rose garden.
