Both the piecework and the appliqué work are VERY well done. Notice the high quality of the hand quilting. Made by an Amish woman in her Lancaster County, Pennsylvania home who signed and dated the back. The back of the quilt is covered with a solid off white 100% cotton fabric. The quilting density is very good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch.

Classic bright rendition of Lone Star design. Tan fill around star is called paper bag by the Amish. An abundance of beautiful quilting done with black thread coupled with excellent piecework - Wow! The sash is dark red, the border is dark green with navy corner squares and a beautiful pillow throw to bring it all together. Made with thin batting and all-cotton fabric to give look and feel of an antique quilt. Well made in Lancaster by an Amish woman in her home.

Fans are difficult to piece well, note the excellence of the piecing and tiny quilting stitches done by the maker of this quilt. Has a tab on the back for a hanging rod.
