Classic bright rendition of Lone Star design. Tan fill around star is called paper bag by the Amish. An abundance of beautiful quilting done with black thread coupled with excellent piecework – Wow! The sash is dark red, the border is dark green with navy corner squares and a beautiful pillow throw to bring it all together.  Made with thin batting and all-cotton fabric to give look and feel of an antique quilt.  Well made in Lancaster by an Amish woman in her home.

The back of the quilt is covered with a black 100% cotton solid fabric. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch.
