Charming! Beautiful traditional Pineapple patchwork pattern, one of the most recognizable and iconically “Americana” styles of quilt patterns. Believed to have emerged in the mid-1800’s during Lincoln’s presidential campaign, the pineapple quilt is a symbol of  hospitality.  Excellent patchwork piecing and fine quilting. Made by an Amish lady in her Lancaster farm house.

The back of the quilt is covered with a 100% cotton leafy tan print fabric.  The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch.
