A breathtaking quilt inspired by nature! Gorgeous colors of a crisp, Autumn day in North America. 8 geese, so realistic you can almost hear them calling to each other, take flight in the clear blue sky among pieced triangles traditionally called “flying geese.” What a clever design! The tiny hand quilted stitches make this quilt a masterpiece.  Very well pieced and hand quilted by an Amish woman in her Lancaster County, Pennsylvania home.

The back of the quilt is covered with a green leafy 100% cotton print fabric. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch.

The sash is medium blue, the border is black with wine corner squares. Note the extra stars on the pillow fold. Made with thin batting and all-cotton fabric to give look and feel of an antique quilt. Well made by local Amish woman in her home who quilted her initials in the bottom corner of the quilt.
