Americana Dresden Plate

Five Dresden Plates set on point are the focus of this fine traditional quilt.  The Dresden Plates are machine pieced and then hand-appliqued to each of the background squares.  They are then surrounded by Karel's signature triple borders with charming paisley corner squares.  Note the plaid fabric that was used for the backgrounds, and the cross-hatching that is hand quilted in the set in triangles that surround the blocks.  A variety of prints create interesting plates and give a "scrappy" look to them. A red and blue stripe fabric is the perfect binding to finish this patriotic piece. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.
