Grandpa's Farm

This original design was inspired by wonderful memories of summer days spent on Grandpa's farms as a little girl.  Using a Sawtooth star block to frame the the whimsical farm animals is a nice design choice.  The animals and accent elements of the barn have each been done with wool appliqué.  From the plump pig to the chick that is newly hatched, the attention to detail make this a very special quilt.  Karel enjoys combining both wool and cotton fabrics which adds dimension and interest to this quilt. A hanging sleeve along with Karel's signature patch have been included on the back.
