Summer Birdhouse

Who doesn't love a cute birdhouse in the summertime? A black eyed susan vine climbs up the post of this birdhouse while a white sheep stands along side.  Notice the sweet little heart being held in the sheep's mouth and the butterfly that is flying in the center of the quilt.  The scrolling quilting design in the border seems to echo the climbing vine for a nice finish of this quilt.   Precise hand appliqué has been combined with the patchwork blocks in this lovely piece. A hanging sleeve along with Karel's signature patch is included on the back.
