Winter Friends

Whimsical winter birds and pine boughs are the theme of this charming Log Cabin quilt. Enjoy it all winter long as many of the fabrics are winter themed with pine needles and berries to name a few.  Look closely at the details in the cardinal and chickadee which are made of wool appliqué with hand embroidered touches.  Pinecones on pine branches surround the center block and are hand embroidered as well.  The exquisite hand quilting can be seen especially well in the border and the striped binding is the perfect finish. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature tag are included on the back of the quilt.
