Scrappy Stars sofa throw is a delightful quilt that Karel has finished just in time for the autumn season. Picture yourself cuddled up in this quilt when cooler weather arrives.  The wonky stars with small 9-patches at the center of each one are made up mostly from fun scraps.  Using a mixture of light and dark neutral background squares gives the design added interest as well.  The appeal of sofa throws are the versatile ways you can use them. Fold it across the back or a sofa, across the foot of a bed or on a chair, it will add charm to any room.  The pieceing is precise and the hand quilting is beautiful in this warm, inviting quilt. Karel’s signature patch is included on the back.

    Flowers and friendship stars go hand in hand in this original design by Karel.  Her triple signature border and corner squares surround the central floral design.  The floral fabric in the border has a vintage feel with small bouquets and is contrasted by the green checked inner border she used.     5 Dresden plates set on point and are the focal point of this fine traditional quilt.  The Dresden plates are machine pieced and then hand appliquéd to each of the background squares.  They are surrounded by Karel’s signature triple border and corner squares.  Cross-hatching has been hand-quilted on the set in triangles to create a small diamond design.  Many different fabrics were used to create the petals on each plate which adds lots of interest.  A fabric featuring flowers in all the colors set on a back background is the perfect finish on this piece.

    A  hanging sleeve along with Karel’s signature tag are included on the back of this show stopping quilt.
