All Jean’s quilts are American made and have a documentation label sewn into the back corner with the name of the quilt, quilter’s name, 100% fabric content and Made in USA. A beautiful tan leaf print single sheet of a fine 100% cotton covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is wonderful, averaging about 75 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is great with about 8 hand quilted stitches per inch. A special heirloom quality quilt. A high quality quilt.

Made with thin batting and all-cotton fabric to give look and feel of an antique quilt. Well made in Lancaster by an Amish woman in her home.

‘Antique Roses’ is a two-color quilt. The roses are a vintage print on a red background, and I used a tan fabric on the “light side” pathway of the quilt. All the roses, leaves and vines are quilted in burgundy thread. The back of the quilt is a traditional cream color muslin. The length of the quilt can be folded up over the pillows, and the roses are quilted across it, as well as at the bottom border, finished with diagonal quilted lines. The quilt measures 96 inches wide and 106 inches long. (the bottom border is folded up over the footboard to show the quilting).

Very well pieced! Be sure to note the interesting quilting surrounding the star on the borders. The 100% cotton fabrics are all carefully chosen to blend into the next. Very well made by a local Amish woman in her home. The backing is a beautiful gray fern print and the hand quilting is 8 and 9 stitches per inch. Very fine stitches. Lovely statement for sure.

This beautiful quilt has a very striking star in the central design and its navy and teal points in the star radiate out to give the star an almost splintered look. The fabrics are so beautiful and blend nicely with the beautiful pieced borders. Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. The backing of this quilt is also 100% cotton and is a beautiful teal medium to dark print. Pattern design by Dolores Yoder.
