  • Using simple stems, leaves and berries appliquéd in this variation of a Baltimore Album block gives this quilt a simple beauty all it's own.  The block is set on point with Karel's signature triple borders and corner patches and features an abundance of beautiful hand quilting in the background triangles surrounding the center.  The 30" 30" size is versatile and could stand alone or in a grouping on your wall.  The classic color scheme is framed by a border fabric that features leaves and berries. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.
  • Woodland critters are a popular nursery theme and inspired this fun child's quilt. Done is tans and grays, the central block features a sweet little fox that is hand appliquéd.  The use of fabrics with leaves, twigs and geometric patterns makes this quilt appropriate for a boy or a girl's nursery.  Hand quilted flowers fill in the background blocks and a fun fabric featuring little bears join in with the fox fabrics. Little fox is just waiting for a good home and can be hung on the wall or used as a child's bank. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.
  • Karel found this pattern years ago and has found it to be the perfect setting for the appliqué in this design.  The baby elephant has been hand appliqué with hand embroidered tail and eyes.  Gray, white and yellow are a lovely color scheme perfect for a new baby nursery. The hand appliqué work on the hearts and baby elephant have been expertly done with embroidered eyes and tail.  A variety of prints have been used to achieve the scrappy look of this piece with geometrics, florals and polka dots to name a few.  Hand quilting is beautifully done in this charming quilt. A hanging tag and Karel's signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.
  • Log cabin blocks using half light and half dark logs have been artfully arranged in this fun quilt featuring a baby elephant at the center of the design.  The color scheme of yellows, grays and  whites were used in this new take on a traditional pattern.  The hand appliquéd circles with stars and the baby elephant have been nicely done with hand quilting that compliments the overall pattern.  Workmanship has been beautifully  done and this special piece would  look wonderful hung in a nursery or as a special child's blanket.   • When the 8-pointed star block and the snowball block are artfully arranged together it creates a pleasing diagonal frame for the appliqué in this original design by Karel.  A simple but sweet flower vase is at the center and then layered appliqué flowers are centered in the surrounding blocks. So many charming blue and tan fabrics were used in the piecing of this quilt, including the lovely paisley border fabric.  It's interesting that 8-pointed stars are almost hidden until you look for them.  Attention to detail and workmanship are evident in this special quilt. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature sleeve are included on the back of the quilt.  
  • Pinwheels are featured and set on point in this lovely, vintage design.  Scraps are precious to every quilter and this quilt features many different scraps of reproduction fabrics to create an old fashioned look.  The tan feathered pattern used as a background frames the pinwheels nicely.  The piecing and quilting are beautiful and Karel chose a floral border to complete the look.   • Hollyhocks and a bluebird play nicely together with flowers and buds alongside some of Karel's favorite pieced blocks including a log cabin, churn dash, Ohio star, and pinwheel in this original design. Hour glass, and triangle borders meander among the blocks as creative borders. The quilt uses classic colors in this attractive original design.  The lovely, green floral fabric used in the border compliments the quilt's fabrics so well.   • This delightful quilt came about as a result of Karel's love of Dresden Plates, and stars and  including many fabrics to create a scrappy look.   The floral wreath in the center has been surrounded with appliquéd  Dresden Plates and pieced 8-pointed stars which are a charming frame for a center appliqué flower. For added interest, Karel chose to use different fabrics in the sashing surrounding the blocks for a scrappy look.  Note the different background fabrics used in the blocks as well. A green print was chosen for the outer border to echo the color of leaves in nature. The piecing is precise and the appliqué and hand-quilting are  beautiful in this special quilt. A hanging sleeve along with Karel's signature patch is included on the back.
  • Five Dresden plates set on point are the focus of this fine traditional quilt. The Dresden plates are machine pieced and then hand appliquéd to each of the background squares. They are surrounded by Karel’s signature triple borders and corner squares.  Cross-hatching has been hand quilted on the set in triangles and creates a diamond design.   Many different fabrics were used on each plate which adds lots of interest.  A small floral blue print was used for the border for the perfect finish on this beautiful quilt. a hanging sleeve and Karel’s signature patch are included on the back.
  • Winter mittens on strings twirl around a spunky snowman at the center of this winter themed quilt.  The artful way in which Karel arranges the light and dark logs create a wonderful background for this whimsical  pattern.  Notice the many winter and snow fabrics that went into the making of this quilt!  The hand quilting is very nicely done and enhances the overall design of the pieces along with neatly done appliqué.  The pattern of the blue border fabric was a great choice to finish it too. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature tag are included on the back of the quilt.
