Bright, cheerful fabrics were used to create this fun jungle themed children’s quilt.  Fabrics with zebras, giraffes and tigers are just a few of the animals you’ll find in this fun piece. The king of the jungle is at the center of it all looking over his kingdom.  It can hang in a baby nursery or become a loved child’s blankie and it’s ready and waiting for a loving home.  The workmanship is nicely done with tiny hand quilting stitches that enhances the design.

A hanging sleeve and Karel’s signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.

    Sawtooth stars  with cornerstone blocks have been set on point to create this patriotic small quilt. Notice the gold hand-appliqué stars along with Old Glory that have been used around the outside set-in triangles.     5 Dresden plates set on point and are the focal point of this fine traditional quilt.  The Dresden plates are machine pieced and then hand appliquéd to each of the background squares.  They are surrounded by Karel’s signature triple border and corner squares.  Cross-hatching has been hand-quilted on the set in triangles to create a small diamond design.  Many different fabrics were used to create the petals on each plate which adds lots of interest.  A fabric featuring flowers in all the colors set on a back background is the perfect finish on this piece.

    A  hanging sleeve along with Karel’s signature tag are included on the back of this show stopping quilt.

    Late summer is Karel’s favorite time of the year and was the inspiration for this fun small quilt.  A sunflower bud and sunflower have been created using the Dresden plate pattern, an appliquéd wool center with french knots and prairie points were added  on the flower.  A bumble bee flies happily around the flower as orange pumpkins sit underneath. The black crow perched on the pumpkin is another detail using wool appliqué.  A combination of machine pieced churn dash and 9-patches blocks were chosen to complete this quilt.  The hand appliqué and quilting  beautifully enhance the design as well.

    A hanging sleeve and Karel’s signature patch  are included on the back.
