Woodland critters are a popular nursery theme and inspired this fun child’s quilt. Done is tans and grays, the central block features a sweet little fox that is hand appliquéd.  The use of fabrics with leaves, twigs and geometric patterns makes this quilt appropriate for a boy or a girl’s nursery.  Hand quilted flowers fill in the background blocks and a fun fabric featuring little bears join in with the fox fabrics. Little fox is just waiting for a good home and can be hung on the wall or used as a child’s bank.

A hanging sleeve and Karel’s signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.

    Flowers and friendship stars go hand in hand in this original design by Karel.  Her triple signature border and corner squares surround the central floral design.  The floral fabric in the border has a vintage feel with small bouquets and is contrasted by the green checked inner border she used.     A graceful floral wreath is the focal point of this stunning small quilt. Tulips, buds and flowers are combined in a pleasing arrangement with corner appliqué blocks radiating out from the center design.  The ribbon star blocks make a bold statement as they frame the central wreath and next comes a checkerboard border just to set it all off.  Karel chose to use civil war reproduction quilts because the tiny prints lend themselves so well to the small appliqué pieces.  The variety of prints include stripes, florals and geometrics that add extra interest to the design.  As you can see from the border, the hand-quilting is beautiful as well.  A hanging sleeve as well as Karel’s signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.
