One of Karel’s favorite quilt patterns to make is an old-time sampler. With a total of 20 different quilt blocks, each blocks has its own unique pattern and fabrics that coordinate beautifully together. Dresden Plate, Pinwheel, Basket, and Churn Dash are just a few of the patterns in this delightful sofa throw. The versatility of this size means you can put it on the back of a sofa, drape it over a chair or fold it across the foot of the bed so it’s always ready to cuddle up in. The classic color scheme that was used means it will work well in any home. The border fabric features leaves and tiny flowers on a navy background.

Karel’s signature patch is included on the back of the quilt.

    Patchwork Autumn is an original design by Karel and was created out of her love for the fall season.     The classic Whig Rose appliqué block has been used along with the 8-pointed star block in this design.  The clever placement of light and dark fabrics have created a unique, secondary border design that flows around the blocks .  A lovely floral design is hand-quilted in the other 4 blocks for contrast.  New England red, hunter green, mustard and navy with a touch of black make up this classic color scheme and look wonderful next to the tan and ivory background squares.  The hand quilting is tiny and precise and the appliqué is also beautifully done. A hanging sleeve and Karel’s signature patch are included on the back.
