Mr. Snowman and his reindeer friend are all ready to help Santa with Christmas in this whimsical original design by Karel. The smart, red sleigh seems ready to glide through the snow covered hills with Rudolf the reindeer leading the way.  Lovely small Dresden plates have been placed at each corner and scrappy log cabin blocks add color and interest as well.  The hand applique and embroidery on this piece are beautifully done along with the hand quilting.  We love the border fabric that was chosen featuring berries and leaves set on a black background.

A hanging tag and Karel’s signature tag have been included on the back of the quilt.

    Flowers and friendship stars go hand in hand in this original design by Karel.  Her triple signature border and corner squares surround the central floral design.  The floral fabric in the border has a vintage feel with small bouquets and is contrasted by the green checked inner border she used.     The classic Whig Rose appliqué block has been used along with the 8-pointed star block in this design.  The clever placement of light and dark fabrics have created a unique, secondary border design that flows around the blocks .  A lovely floral design is hand-quilted in the other 4 blocks for contrast.  New England red, hunter green, mustard and navy with a touch of black make up this classic color scheme and look wonderful next to the tan and ivory background squares.  The hand quilting is tiny and precise and the appliqué is also beautifully done. A hanging sleeve and Karel’s signature patch are included on the back.
