Karel was thinking spring when she created this original design with hopping bunnies and a bluebird perched on the branch over a birdbath.  Tulips and a daffodil are welcome signs that spring has arrived along with flower pots all ready for planting. A white sheep holds a small wool heart in his mouth a corner block. Don’t miss the bunny tails and ears that feature wool appliquéd pieces for added texture.  Pieced blocks including trip around the world, Sarah’s choice, 8-pointed star which are some of Karel’s favorites. This quilt is ready to find the perfect place in your home and the work is beautifully done.

A hanging sleeve and Karel’s signature patch are included on the back.

    Wooly sheep and saw tooth stars are combined with a fun block called “this and that” in this original small quilt.  The wool sheep are appliquéd onto the background using the button hole stitch which is all done by hand.  The graceful willow tree in the central block has been created using lots more embroidery as a sheep stands underneath holding a sweet little heart.  Fabric prints were carefully selected and includes stripes, and small florals. Karel loves combining touches of wool fabrics with 100% cottons in this special piece.  Don’t miss the fine quilting especially noticeable in the border.

    Do you love pinwheels?  Here’s a great original design featuring pinwheels that use 8 different fabrics in them! Both the pinwheel and cornerstone blocks are set on point and the diamonds frame each pinwheel creating a great secondary design. Karel used a lighter background for the pinwheels and a small circle print for the other blocks to help the pinwheels stand apart.  Sweet little tulips sit in each corner while flowers fill in the triangle blocks around the edge.  The quality of the hand appliqué and quilting are easy to observe in this charming small quilt and the floral border is the prefect finish.  A hanging sleeve and Karel”s signature tag are included on the back.

    The classic Whig Rose appliqué block has been used along with the 8-pointed star block in this design.  The clever placement of light and dark fabrics have created a unique, secondary border design that flows around the blocks .  A lovely floral design is hand-quilted in the other 4 blocks for contrast.  New England red, hunter green, mustard and navy with a touch of black make up this classic color scheme and look wonderful next to the tan and ivory background squares.  The hand quilting is tiny and precise and the appliqué is also beautifully done. A hanging sleeve and Karel’s signature patch are included on the back.
