The wheels on the bus song inspired this fun children’s quilt which features a sunny, yellow bus in its center. Whimsical cars and a pick up truck done in cheerful colors with embroidered details appear to be driving around the bus. The pattern features bright colored squares which nicely frame the appliqué blocks as well. The border fabric echoes the cars and buses as children on bikes and jumping rope ride around the border. This playful quilt is ready to become a child’s beloved snuggle blanket right now. The workmanship is very nicely done with hand quilting that enhances the design.

A hanging sleeve along with Karel’s signature patch are included on the back.

    The classic Whig Rose appliqué block has been used along with the 8-pointed star block in this design.  The clever placement of light and dark fabrics have created a unique, secondary border design that flows around the blocks .  A lovely floral design is hand-quilted in the other 4 blocks for contrast.  New England red, hunter green, mustard and navy with a touch of black make up this classic color scheme and look wonderful next to the tan and ivory background squares.  The hand quilting is tiny and precise and the appliqué is also beautifully done.     This happy small quilt was inspired by Karel’s love of butterflies in her garden during the summer.  The blue and yellow color scheme is reminicent of sunshine and the blue skies.  Morning Glories wind their way around the butterfly house and have hand embroidered  french knots in the center of each flower.  Friendship stars and 9-patch blocks are featured with a yellow butterfly flying amongst them.  The hand quilting and appliqué are expertly done in this cheerful quilt.
