  • Here is one of Karel's classic original designs, the trumpet flower, and it has always been a customer favorite.  Winding trumpet flowers, vines and leaves are surrounded by 5" log cabin blocks and primitive stars in each of the 4 corners.  This stunning color scheme uses shades of blues, golden tans and ivory and is sure to please anyone who loves blue.  Karel is known for incorporating many different fabrics in her quilts to add interest and texture. Don"t miss the beautiful paisley border that creates a perfect finish for this fine piece! The hand quilting and appliqué are expertly done as well.   • Here is a quilt just perfect for a smaller space in your home.   The log cabin pattern has always been a favorite of Karel's because there is no end to the ways you can lay out the blocks. In this quilt the light logs create a great background for the autumnal pumpkins with their vines and leaves while the dark logs create a frame around them.  1" logs have been used to create a scrappy feel and give the opportunity for many earthtone fabrics to be used.  A soft green fabric with floating leaves has been used as the border to frame this quilt.  The hand quilting and appliqué are beautifully done as well. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature tag are included on the back of the quilt.

  • A whimsical pumpkin with leaves and primitive stars set on circles are in the center of log cabin blocks in this warm fall quilt.  The traditonal log cabin pattern has always been a favorite of Karel's and the clever placement of light and dark logs create a pleasing background for the appliqué.  Small 1" logs have been used and give opportunity for many earth tone fabrics to be used which create a nice scrappy effect.  The floral border print is a perfect frame to finish the quilt and the appliqué and hand quilting are beautifully done in this fun quilt.   • Patchwork Autumn is an original design by Karel and was created out of her love for the fall season. Hand appliquéd hollyhocks, flowers, a goldfinch and pumpkins are surrounded with blocks including the friendship star, pinwheel, Ohio star and churn dash to name a few. Half square triangles and hour glass blocks add to it's charm as well.  The warm floral border fabric compliments the quilt as the flowers and leaves gently wind their way around the quilt and hand quilting is beautiful. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature patch are included on the back.
  • Late summer is Karel's favorite time of the year and was the inspiration for this fun small quilt.  A sunflower bud and sunflower have been created using the Dresden plate pattern, an appliquéd wool center with french knots and prairie points were added  on the flower.  A bumble bee flies happily around the flower as orange pumpkins sit underneath. The black crow perched on the pumpkin is another detail using wool appliqué.  A combination of machine pieced churn dash and 9-patches blocks were chosen to complete this quilt.  The hand appliqué and quilting  beautifully enhance the design as well. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature patch  are included on the back.
  • Scrappy Stars sofa throw is a delightful quilt that Karel has finished just in time for the autumn season. Picture yourself cuddled up in this quilt when cooler weather arrives.  The wonky stars with small 9-patches at the center of each one are made up mostly from fun scraps.  Using a mixture of light and dark neutral background squares gives the design added interest as well.  The appeal of sofa throws are the versatile ways you can use them. Fold it across the back or a sofa, across the foot of a bed or on a chair, it will add charm to any room.  The pieceing is precise and the hand quilting is beautiful in this warm, inviting quilt. Karel's signature patch is included on the back.
  • Five Dresden plates set on point are the focal point of this fine traditional quilt. The Dresden plates are machine pieced and then hand appliquéd to the background squares. They are  then framed by Karel's signature triple border and corner squares. Cross-hatching has been hand-quilted on the set-in triangles to create a beautiful diamond design. Civil war reproduction fabrics have been chosen for the unique blue and brown color scheme and with so many different fabrics used it has a vintage feel. A hanging sleeve along with Karel's signature patch are included on the back of this traditional quilt.
  • Log cabin blocks with artfully arranged lights and darks help create the backdrop for this lovely quilt.  A charming little basket of flowers take center stage with butterflies that are flying all around the center. These  have all been carefully hand appliquéd with a touch of hand embroidery by Karel.  Multi colored classic fabrics were the choice for her color scheme.  Notice the outer border she chose incorporates all the colors found in the center of the quilt set on a classic black background. The hand quilting is beautiful and accents the design for the perfect finishing touch. A hanging sleeve and Karel's signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.
  • Flowers and friendship stars go hand in hand in this original design by Karel.  Her triple signature border and corner squares surround the central floral design.  The floral fabric in the border has a vintage feel with small bouquets and is contrasted by the green checked inner border she used. A variation of the log cabin block works nicely in the corners against the stars and appliqué flowers.  Precise hand-quilting creates a diamond design in each of the triangles that surround the center, along with beautiful appliqué  and the color scheme includes, tan, red, green, and black.
