  • This is a brand new quilt arranged by C Jean Horst that is so exquisite with its hundreds of yards of hand quilting thread. It is exceptionally heavily hand quilted with feathers – large and small, and also a charming and beautiful heavily quilted border design. The cream background, even though it is a tiny tone on tone 100% quilter’s cotton print, shows up all the stitches and designs so nicely. While being a traditional patchwork pattern, Jean has transformed it into an heirloom quality quilt due to the exceptional yardage of hand quilting displayed.
  • This is a special bargello quilt that I designed on my husbands first year anniversary from having an open heart surgery. This heartbeat quilt shows an EKG that reminds me of how fortunate I am every time I look at it. It is another of C Jean Horst’s bargello quilts made with beautiful batik fabrics which she loves to work with.   • What a charming but beautiful quilt. This pattern is an original by C Jean Horst and is NOW available for our fellow-quilt makers!!! Please email cjh@amishcountryquilts.com if you would like info in regards to purchasing the pattern and even the kit. BUT for the many of you who have NO interest in sewing, it is available here as a finished quilt. It is a tumbling blocks that has 9 blocks of dark fabrics, 9 blocks of medium fabrics and 9 blocks of light fabrics grouped together to make each large block. A real interesting grouping of many batik fabrics are used to create each of the sides of the blocks. It was pieced by an Amish woman and quilted using 7 – 8 hand stitches per inch. A nicely arranged design.
