A gorgeous queen size quilt that has an excellent combination of skills. It is an original design by C Jean Horst, using needle turn hand appliqué, machine piecing, decorative hand quilting and great 100% quilters cotton fabrics in colors of golds, plums, greens and neutrals in a tasteful combination. An amazing design by Lancaster’s renowned designer. Note the abundance of quilting surrounding the focal center applique work. The background fabric are all in shades of neutrals. Quilted by an Amish friend. Signed and dated by its designer. Copyright pattern — no directions are available. A fine tan print 100% cotton fabric covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is very good, averaging about 130 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is very good with about 9 stitches per inch. The quilt has a small documentation tag sewn into the back side of the quilt documenting the maker, fabric content, date, name of pattern, and a note about being made in America, quilted by an Amish friend. Excellent choice! A high quality quilt.

This beautiful king size quilt has a very striking star in the central design and its teal and gray star radiates out to give the star an almost splintered look. The fabrics are so beautiful and blend nicely with the beautiful pieced borders. Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges on all 4 sides. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. The backing of this quilt is also 100% cotton and is a beautiful medium gray dotted print. Pattern design by Dolores Yoder.
