Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges on all 4 sides. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. A very elegant, traditional nine patch pattern. Be sure to notice all the incredibly fine hand quilting. The background fabric color is best described as “sand”. The blue is almost like a peacock but I prefer to think of it as the ocean. The back of the quilt is covered with a very pretty, coordinating print fabric that is called “sea glass”. Well made by Pennsylvania Mennonite quilt maker, Connie Lapp, and hand quilted by a Mennonite friend. This quilt would make a fabulous crib quilt or wall hanging. A great gift idea!
