Absolutely stunning.  And such a classic and easy to use wall or throw quilt.  Its colors are colonial and its design is using a star block and half square triangles to complete this beautiful one time piece.  The backing is the exact blending fabric in 100% cotton as frames the center stars edges.  A gorgeous small quilt by Lancaster’s well-respected quilt designer, C Jean Horst.  Enjoy this little beauty.

  • Up-town is a really clever wall quilt that can be used as a crib cover, a wall piece or a table top.  It is made with 100% black and white fabric prints and as each row is formed and sewn, it become a shade lighter as it is completed.  It will be the showpiece of a room especially a hallway where you can see it in a vertical space.  Amazingly well done. The backing is also a black and white print made with 100% quilters cotton fabrics.
  • A beautiful and fresh change for a log cabin quilt! Here Jean has used her batiks in blues and paprikas to make a striking but simple log cabin, which is why she calls it Simplicity. She has made a common quilt very unique with her choice of batiks. While each patch is unique, all blocks are working together beautifully to show off an awesome collection of cotton batiks. She also has a documentation tag on the back corner which gives the name of the quilt, the maker, the location, the date, and the fabric content as well as a note "made in the USA."
  • Here is a bright Amish colored  wall quilt or throw that mimics the solid Amish colors that the ladies and men and even children wear in their clothing.  They love black and the bright solid colors.   The quilt has a sleeve for hanging already attached and the stitching is very small at 8 stitches per inch.  This pattern is actually also called Roman Stripes but done in Amish solid colors it is truly an Amish quilt.   The backing is also 100% cotton and is black.  Signed and dated by CJH of Lancaster County.
