Wonderful watercolor style quilt with fabrics selected by C Jean Horst. Note the unusual patchwork design and how cleverly Jean employs it to move from light to dark coloring. Excellent patchwork piecing and fine quilting. Made here in Lancaster by an Amish woman. Photographs can not begin to capture its beauty! This quilt is symmetric and may be used sideways on a king size bed.

    A beautiful and fresh change for a log cabin quilt! Here Jean has used her batiks in blues and paprikas to make a striking but simple log cabin, which is why she calls it Simplicity. She has made a common quilt very unique with her choice of batiks. While each patch is unique, all blocks are working together beautifully to show off an awesome collection of cotton batiks. She also has a documentation tag on the back corner which gives the name of the quilt, the maker, the location, the date, and the fabric content as well as a note “made in the USA.”
