A Fresh quilt from the book Simply Retro using classic blocks – the half square triangle. The concept of “retro” is pretty wonderful; it means “reminiscent of things past.” Isn’t that appropriate for quilting? Here C Jean Horst is using fresh, modern fabrics which makes a traditional block feel “new” again. This quilt called Fresh is my favorite pattern from the book Simply Retro with Camille Roskelley. It includes 2 pieced and hand quilted Pillow Shams as shown in the photographs. The feather quilted circles in the quilt accent well with the straight line quilting designs through the blocks making it a very homey and cozy quilt for a good looking bedroom. Fabrics are all 100% quality cotton and the hand quilting has 8 stitches per inch. More white pillows would be lovely!!
