This quilt is great to decorate around with lots of blue. rose, green and neutral shades and options. This Colorsplash quilt is using 24 fabrics, cut and sewn so each block is 1 1/2″ square. What a beautiful combination of 24 different fabrics selected by C Jean Horst. Sewn by a local Amish woman — note the careful patchwork piecing and the fine quilting. The backing of the quilt is a coordinated light blue to match the outer quilt border. Beautiful!

Mariner’s Compass Star
$1,695This beautiful quilt has a very striking star in the central design and its burgundy and gray star radiates out to give the star an almost splintered look. The fabrics are so beautiful and blend nicely with the beautiful pieced borders. Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. The backing of this quilt is also 100% cotton and is a beautiful medium gray dotted print. Pattern design by Dolores Yoder. -

Another new original C Jean Horst design. The reality of life being pictured as a journey seemed to come together when a friend’s husband passed away at an early age with cancer. The watercolor quilt – the Journey, was designed at that time as a full scale quilt!! Available in queen and king size in this pattern done on a background of my favored Bargello Wave pattern design. This is a beauty of 24 100% quality cotton batiks used for the background pattern and then more added bright batiks in machine appliqué for the butterflies on the quilt top. It is a spectacular coming together of precise piecing, hand applique, and machine quilting. The hand quilting has 8-9 exceptional stitches per inch and notice the theme of butterflies quilted into the quilting design on the middle border AND the batik butterfly print in the outer border! This is certainly an heirloom piece – not your usual quilt. The backing of this quilt is covered with a light ivory batik fabric of 100% cotton to accent the front side. Here is a new fresh quilt rearranged into pinwheels similar to the quilt called Fresh from the book "Simply Retro". Included with the quilt are two matching pillow shams in the every popular gray white fabric combination. The concept of retro means reminiscent of things past which is so fitting with the pinwheels reminding us all of the windmills of the past generation. Here is a gentle reminder of our heritage again in a beautiful locally made hand quilted quilt. Here C Jean Horst used the fabric collections of beautiful grays and whites in 100% cottons! This quilt is a versatile size in that it can be used as a queen with shams or it can be turned the 113 width to completely cover the king bed with a 18" drop and the quilt going up to the headboard without a pillow tuck over the pillows. Another new original C Jean Horst design. The reality of life being pictured as a journey seemed to come together when a friend's husband passed away at an early age with cancer. The watercolor wall quilt - the Journey, was designed at that time. And now we have the full size quilts!! Available in queen and king size in this pattern done on a background of my favored Bargello Wave pattern design. This is a beauty of 24 100% quality cotton batiks used for the background pattern and then more added bright batiks in machine appliqué for the butterflies on the quilt top. It is a spectacular coming together of precise piecing, machine applique, and hand quilting. The hand quilting has 8-9 exceptional stitches per inch and notice the theme of butterflies quilted into the quilting design on the middle border AND the batik butterfly print in the outer border! This is certainly an heirloom piece - not your usual quilt. The backing of this quilt is covered with a golden/green batik fabric of 100% cotton to accent the front side.
