Folklore suggests that this beautiful quilt pattern describes the journey of those seeking to escape slavery by traveling to the northern states and beyond into Canada. Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern is one of the most beloved of all vintage quilt patterns! These old quilts can be found many places, but very few new ones are being made.
