Karel enjoys incorporating many different fabric prints in her designs along with hand quilting and hand appliqué that are beautifully done. $390.00Comin Up Sunshine is a nice variation on the Mariner's Compass pattern. For this quilt Karel choose to use Civil War reproduction fabrics for a vintage look. Take note of how precisely the points and curves were pieced in this difficult pattern. The curved theme is repeated in graceful flowers that surround the center block. The appliqué and quilting , both done by hand, are beautifully sewn as well. A burgundy border featuring small berries and leaves are the perfect frame for this special quilt.
