The Wheels on the bus song inspired this fun children’s quilt which features a sunny, yellow bus at it’s center.  Whimsical cars and a pick up truck, done in cheerful colors with embroidered details appear to be driving around the bus.  The pattern feature bright colored squares which frame the appliqué blocks as well.  The border fabric echos the cars and buses as the children on bikes and jumping ropes ride around the border.  This playful quilt is ready to become a child’s beloved snuggle blanket right now.  The workmanship  is beautifully done and the hand quilting enhances the design.

A hanging sleeve and Karel’s signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.

    Here is a quilt just perfect for a smaller space in your home.   The log cabin pattern has always been a favorite of Karel’s because there is no end to the ways you can lay out the blocks.     Who doesn’t love a cute birdhouse in the summertime? A black eyed susan vine climbs up the post of this birdhouse while a white sheep stands along side.  Notice the sweet little heart being held in the sheep’s mouth and the butterfly that is flying in the center of the quilt.  The scrolling quilting design in the border seems to echo the climbing vine for a nice finish of this quilt.   Precise hand appliqué has been combined with the patchwork blocks in this lovely piece.
