The wheels on the bus song inspired this fun children’s quilt which features a sunny, yellow bus in its center. Whimsical cars and a pick up truck done in cheerful colors with embroidered details appear to be driving around the bus. The pattern features bright colored squares which nicely frame the appliqué blocks as well. The border fabric echoes the cars and buses as children on bikes and jumping rope ride around the border. This playful quilt is ready to become a child’s beloved snuggle blanket right now. The workmanship is very nicely done with hand quilting that enhances the design.

A hanging sleeve along with Karel’s signature patch are included on the back.

    Here is a quilt just perfect for a smaller space in your home.   The log cabin pattern has always been a favorite of Karel’s because there is no end to the ways you can lay out the blocks.     Flowers and friendship stars go hand in hand along with a fabulous paisley border that was the inspiration for the color scheme in Karel’s original design.  Her signature triple border and corner squares surround her central floral design.  Note the use of just a touch of red stripped fabric that has been selected for a pop of color.   Precise hand-quilting creates a diamond design in each corner triangles.  Red, Blue and Ivory hint at classic Americana with touches of stars and stripes thrown in.

    A hanging sleeve along with Karel’s signature patch are included on the back of the quilt.

    The pineapple has long been a symbol of hospitality and is the central design in this  warm, small quilt.  The  traditional log cabin pattern has always been a favorite of Karel’s and the clever placement of light and dark logs creates a pleasing background for the primitive stars that surround the pineapple.  Small civil war prints have been used in the 1″ wide logs for a cozy, country feel.  The more fabrics in a quilt the better Karel likes it and this one was fun to sew. The hand quilting is especially fine along with precise appliqué  making this quilt a lovely addition to any home.
