This quilt is beautifully hand quilted using 8 hand stitches by a local Amish woman. Signed by CJH, it’s designer. The back of the quilt is covered with a beautiful blue batik print of 100% cotton fabric shown on one of the photo shots. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny hand stitches per inch and the quilt has a back corner tag that signs and dates the name of the quilt pattern, designer, fabric content and made in USA by our Amish friends.

Another queen original C Jean Horst design. The reality of life being pictured as a journey seemed to come together when a friend’s husband passed away at an early age with cancer. The watercolor wall quilt – the Journey, was designed at that time. And now we have the full size bed quilts!! Available in queen and king size in this pattern done on a background of my favored Bargello Wave pattern design. This is a beauty of 24 100% quality cotton batiks used for the background pattern and then more added bright batiks in machine appliqué for the butterflies on the quilt top. It is a spectacular coming together of precise piecing, machine applique, and hand quilting. The hand quilting has 8-9 exceptional stitches per inch and notice the theme of butterflies quilted into the quilting design on the middle border. This is certainly an heirloom piece – not your usual quilt. The backing of this queen quilt is covered with a multi green batik fabric of 100% cotton to accent the front side. The documentation label is on the back corner and signed by C Jean Horst in quilter’s sigma ink.

This beautiful quilt has a very striking star in the central design and its navy and teal points in the star radiate out to give the star an almost splintered look. The fabrics are so beautiful and blend nicely with the beautiful pieced borders. Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. The backing of this quilt is also 100% cotton and is a beautiful teal floral print. Pattern design by Dolores Yoder.
