A beautiful heirloom quilt from Lancaster County. Quilted by a very skilled Amish woman, and signed and dated by Lancaster’s renowned quilt designer, C Jean Horst. Copyright pattern — directions unavailable. The back of the quilt is covered with a 100% quilter’s cotton fabric in tone on tone ivory cream floral. The quilting density is outstanding, averaging about 110 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is excellent with 8–9 stitches per inch. This beautiful king size quilt has a very striking star in the central design and its brilliant teal, black, white and gray 100% cotton fabrics are simply beautiful. The star radiates out to give the star an almost splintered look. The fabrics are so beautiful and blend nicely with the beautiful pieced borders. Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges on all 4 sides. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. The backing of this quilt is also 100% cotton and is a beautiful white and gray print. Pattern design by Dolores Yoder.

The hand quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand stitching is very good with about 8 stitches per inch.
