This pattern is similar to the Postage Stamp quilts that have 36 fabrics and patches cut and sewn leaving a 1 ” block. This Colorsplash quilt is using 24 fabrics, cut and sewn so each block is 1 1/2″ square making this more economical to sew. $1,395This beautiful Double Wedding Ring quilt symbolizes a never ending bond between a bride and a groom. Historically, this quilt pattern was a favorite wedding gift for young brides and has been extremely popular since the 1920’s. Subtle and sophisticated with lots of history! Note the interesting collection of 100% batik cotton sea mist blues and greens selected for this quilt as well as the perfectly round and intercepting rings so well sewn. Well quilted by Amish woman. Signed and dated by its creator, C Jean Horst of Lancaster. 118″ wide is exceptionally generous for a king bed. -
This quilt is a traditional Log Cabin quilt block done with a unique fussy cut centers. It is made entirely from popular designer Kaffe Fassett’s line of fabrics – both top and backing of the quilt. The fabrics are 100% cotton but are softer than any other manufacturer of quilters cottons that we know of. We also enjoyed making matching pillow shams to work along with the log cabin patch quilt. This colorful quilt will go with a varied number of color schemes and is bright and creates a carefree look. The white pillow is not included but creates another look if you add more of your own pillows. A note about fussy cut — each square for the center of each block was cut one at a time by centering a clear plexiglass template on the fabric to see through to the flower – thus centering the unique flower in the middle of each block. Gorgeous.

Will work well with many coloring schemes. Well pieced and quilted by a Lancaster Amish woman. Signed and dated by its creator, the well respected quilt designer, C Jean Horst of Lancaster. The back of the quilt is covered with a fine white tone on tone 100% cotton print that coordinates with the feel of the quilt. The hand quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is very good with about 8 stitches per inch.
