Here is a new fresh quilt rearranged into pinwheels similar to the quilt called Fresh from the book "Simply Retro". Included with the quilt are two matching pillow shams in the every popular gray white fabric combination. The concept of retro means reminiscent of things past which is so fitting with the pinwheels reminding us all of the windmills of the past generation. Here is a gentle reminder of our heritage again in a beautiful locally made hand quilted quilt. Here C Jean Horst used the fabric collections of beautiful grays and whites in 100% cottons! This quilt is a versatile size in that it can be used as a queen with shams or it can be turned the 113 width to completely cover the king bed with a 18" drop and the quilt going up to the headboard without a pillow tuck over the pillows. The shams will fit 20 x 36 " pillows.

This is a brand new quilt arranged by C Jean Horst that is so exquisite with its hundreds of yards of hand quilting thread - this one has 693 yards of hand quilting with 8-9 stitches per inch - roughly 200,000 stitches!!! It is exceptionally heavily hand quilted with feathers - large and small, and also a charming and beautiful heavily quilted border design. The cream background, even though it is a tiny tone on tone 100% quilter's cotton print, shows up all the stitches and designs so nicely. While being a traditional patchwork pattern, Jean has transformed it into an heirloom quality quilt due to the exceptional yardage of hand quilting displayed.

It is a spectacular coming together of precise piecing, hand applique, and machine quilting. The hand quilting has 8-9 exceptional stitches per inch and notice the theme of butterflies quilted into the quilting design on the middle border AND the batik butterfly print in the outer border! It is a quilt pattern that is also called "scrap therapy" and was done during the pandemic of 2020! It is a very interesting and practical quilt with a story to tell.
