$1,695This beautiful quilt has a very striking star in the central design and its navy and teal points in the star radiate out to give the star an almost splintered look. The fabrics are so beautiful and blend nicely with the beautiful pieced borders. Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. Here is a new fresh quilt rearranged into pinwheels similar to the quilt called Fresh from the book "Simply Retro". Included with the quilt are two matching pillow shams in the every popular gray white fabric combination. The concept of retro means reminiscent of things past which is so fitting with the pinwheels reminding us all of the windmills of the past generation. Here is a gentle reminder of our heritage again in a beautiful locally made hand quilted quilt. Here C Jean Horst used the fabric collections of beautiful grays and whites in 100% cottons! This quilt is a versatile size in that it can be used as a queen with shams or it can be turned the 113 width to completely cover the king bed with a 18" drop and the quilt going up to the headboard without a pillow tuck over the pillows. The shams will fit 20 x 36 " pillows.

Another new original C Jean Horst design. The reality of life being pictured as a journey seemed to come together when a friend’s husband passed away at an early age with cancer. The watercolor quilt – the Journey, was designed at that time as a full scale quilt!! Available in queen and king size in this pattern done on a background of my favored Bargello Wave pattern design. This is a beauty of 24 100% quality cotton batiks used for the background pattern and then more added bright batiks in machine appliqué for the butterflies on the quilt top. It is a spectacular coming together of precise piecing, hand applique, and machine quilting. The hand quilting has 8-9 exceptional stitches per inch and notice the theme of butterflies quilted into the quilting design on the middle border AND the batik butterfly print in the outer border! This is certainly an heirloom piece – not your usual quilt. The backing of this quilt is covered with a medium green swirl fabric of 100% cotton to accent the front side. A very striking Bargello design with extra brilliant Batik style color fast 100 % cotton blue, green, and aqua prints selected by C Jean Horst. Note the care taken with the complicated piecing, and the fantastic border fabrics. Both pieced and quilted by an Amish friend and signed and managed by C Jean Horst who designed and selected the fabrics and supplied an accurate pattern for sewing as well as oversaw the steps through the project. A WOW of a Wedding Present! Note the interesting collection of 100% cotton batik aqua and teal prints selected for this quilt. Well pieced and quilted by a Lancaster Amish woman. Signed and dated by its creator, the well respected quilt designer, C Jean Horst of Lancaster. Notice the rings are exactly round unlike many of the wedding ring patterns that are made. It takes a very exact piecer to make this quilt.
