Arching flowers and leaves wind around the center block with corner log cabin blocks completing this pattern. Pinwheels and checkerboards are another pleasing element in the borders of this original design by Karel. Fabrics were carefully selected in a nice variety of prints that play nicely with the precise appliqué and tiny quilting stitches. Winding trumpet flowers, vines and leaves are surrounded by 5" log cabin blocks and primitive stars in each of the 4 corners. Multi colored fabrics have been used in warm country colors that give it a charming "scrappy " look as well. Karel is known for incorporating many different fabric prints in her designs along with hand quilting and appliqué which are all expertly done. A hanging sleeve along with Karel's signature patch have been included on the back of the quilt.
