It is hard to imagine that patchwork quilts could be so wondrously varied in design and coloring as they are here in Lancaster. While some traditional Amish designs are made to be reproductions of 18th and 19th Century quilts, most quilts are created with goal of being more lovely than what was made before. Consequently there are many differing and unique renditions of even the most traditional patchwork patterns.
Many of the quilts shown here are marked indicating that they are “available now” for shipment –we are usually able to ship quilts so marked no later than the next business day. Other quilts shown have been sold, but often we are able to find a very similar well-made quilt that can be shipped quickly. Alternatively we can arrange for a similar quilt to be custom made.

The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch and the quilt has a back corner tag that documents the name of the quilt pattern, designer, fabric content and made in USA by our Amish friends. -

Beautiful rich colors in reds, golds and tans. C Jean Horst has outdone herself with this quilt — 36 different 100% cotton country prints are used from beautiful classic colors! This patchwork is made up of over 6205 postage stamp size pieces. Lovely and amazing. Made here in Lancaster by an Amish woman. This quilt is signed in pigma pen ink on an attached label on the back by C Jean Horst. All Jean’s quilts are American made and have a documentation label sewn into the back corner with the name of the quilt, quilter’s name, 100% fabric content and Made in USA. A beautiful tan leaf print single sheet of a fine 100% cotton covers the back of the quilt. The quilting density is wonderful, averaging about 75 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The stitching is great with about 8 hand quilted stitches per inch. A special heirloom quality quilt. A high quality quilt.
