The back of the quilt is covered with a beautiful batik blue print of 100% cotton fabric shown on one of the photo shots. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch and the quilt has a back corner tag that documents the name of the quilt pattern, designer, fabric content and made in USA by our Amish friends.

This Double Wedding Ring Quilt was a top made by grandmother and I just got it quilted. The fabrics are vintage calico’s in beautiful country colors, and all the rings are made the same. The blocks are quilted in stacked hearts motif. The quilt measures 92 inches wide and 104 inches long, and fits nicely on a queen bed. The backing is traditional solid white muslin.

The star radiates out to give the star an almost splintered look. The fabrics are so beautiful and blend nicely with the beautiful pieced borders. Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges on all 4 sides. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch.
