It is hard to imagine that patchwork quilts could be so wondrously varied in design and coloring as they are here in Lancaster. While some traditional Amish designs are made to be reproductions of 18th and 19th Century quilts, most quilts are created with goal of being more lovely than what was made before. Consequently there are many differing and unique renditions of even the most traditional patchwork patterns.
Many of the quilts shown here are marked indicating that they are “available now” for shipment –we are usually able to ship quilts so marked no later than the next business day. Other quilts shown have been sold, but often we are able to find a very similar well-made quilt that can be shipped quickly. Alternatively we can arrange for a similar quilt to be custom made.

Star Wedding Ring Quilt

The background tone on tone cream off white cotton print. Be sure to note the hearts within the ring. Was pieced by a Mennonite woman in her home and then quilted by a Plain woman. -
Definitely a Heirloom quilt, this is a very special quilt, no two quilts are the same. Very precisely pieced and each patch has quilting on it so it makes for many, many stitches, and about 7 stitches per inch. The back is a print cotton fabric.

A bold, striking, sharp and elegant quilt . Very attractive Navy fabrics, also included a fabric featuring a popular pansy print. Note the careful piecing and extra fine quilting. Quilted by a Amish woman in her home. Fabrics chosen by a Mennonite woman.

Notice the beautiful quilting on the border of this quilt. Quilting is extra fine even stitches at 8 stitches per inch. Backing is a solid sheet of tan tone on tone fabric. A high quality quilt.

Lovely Plum and Rose floral prints make this a very attractive quilt, light side has a tone on tone fine print. It features two popular quilt designs all in one, the Lone Star and the Log Cabin. A striking example of the classic block design. Excellent piecing and lots of fine quilting. Note that the sash has initials all around — just like antique quilts that were made in quilting bees. The quilt top was made by an Amish woman living in northeastern Indiana and quilted by an Amish neighbor. Part of her ‘Quilts Remembered Collection’. Includes a sleeve for a hanging rod.
