The solid black background makes you feel like you’re looking at the night sky! Excellent patchwork piecing and VERY fine quilting. Grandmother’s Flower Garden pattern is one of the most beloved of all vintage quilt patterns! These old quilts can be found many places, but very few new ones are being made. A quilt like this could be a cheerful reminder of lovely flower gardens and a much needed lift during hard times. Note how well the light cream background print sets off the other fabrics. A delightful collection of cross-stitched flowers! They have a softness that can not be matched with printed fabrics. Golden touches with butterflies that make you feel like you’re in a rose garden. Excellent cross stitching that is precise and uniform. Many hours of hand-embroidered work was put into this quilt!! Very well made in Lancaster by an Amish woman.
