Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges on all 4 sides. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. The quilt has a small documentation tag sewn into the back side of the quilt documenting the maker, fabric content, date, name of pattern, and a note about being made in America, quilted by an Amish friend. Fabrics and colors selected by a Mennonite woman and quilted by a Amish women. Was pieced by a 93 yr. Amish woman and sewed on an old treadle machine. So a lot of details went into this quilt.
