Both pieced and quilted by an Amish friend and signed and managed by C Jean Horst who designed and selected the fabrics and supplied an accurate pattern for sewing as well as oversaw the steps through the project.

The quilt has a sleeve for hanging already attached and the stitching is very small at 8 stitches per inch. This pattern is actually also called Roman Stripes but done in Amish solid colors it is truly an Amish quilt. The backing is also 100% cotton and is black. This beautiful king size quilt has a very striking star in the central design and its brilliant teal, black, white and gray 100% cotton fabrics are simply beautiful. The star radiates out to give the star an almost splintered look. The fabrics are so beautiful and blend nicely with the beautiful pieced borders. Look closely and you will see that the border has borrowed 1/4 of the star parts from the center design to dance around its outside edges on all 4 sides. Magnificent design that is simply beautiful. 100% cotton fabrics in the entire quilt. The hand-quilted stitches measure 8 stitches per inch. The backing of this quilt is also 100% cotton and is a beautiful white and gray print. Pattern design by Dolores Yoder.
