It is hard to imagine that patchwork quilts could be so wondrously varied in design and coloring as they are here in Lancaster. While some traditional Amish designs are made to be reproductions of 18th and 19th Century quilts, most quilts are created with goal of being more lovely than what was made before. Consequently there are many differing and unique renditions of even the most traditional patchwork patterns.
Many of the quilts shown here are marked indicating that they are “available now” for shipment –we are usually able to ship quilts so marked no later than the next business day. Other quilts shown have been sold, but often we are able to find a very similar well-made quilt that can be shipped quickly. Alternatively we can arrange for a similar quilt to be custom made.

This quilt is beautifully hand quilted using 8 hand stitches by a local Amish woman. Signed by CJH, it designer. The back of the quilt is covered with a beautiful soft batik print of 100% cotton fabric shown on one of the photo shots. The quilting density is good, averaging about 100 linear inches of stitching per square foot. The hand quilting is wonderful with 8 tiny stitches per inch and the quilt has a back corner tag that documents the name of the quilt pattern, designer, fabric content and made in USA by our Amish friends. -

Here is a beautiful Queen size Trip Around the World quilt that will remind you of the ocean’s surf. This quilt is great to decorate around the colors of a steal blue or a brighter teal!! This pattern is similar to the Postage Stamp quilts that have 36 fabrics and patches cut and sewn leaving a 1 ” block. This Colorsplash quilt is using 24 fabrics, cut and sewn so each block is 1 1/2″ square making this more economical to sew. What a beautiful combination of 24 different blues in batik fabrics selected by C Jean Horst. Sewn by a local Amish woman — note the careful patchwork piecing and the fine quilting.
