Patchwork Quilts

It is hard to imagine that patchwork quilts could be so wondrously varied in design and coloring as they are here in Lancaster. While some traditional Amish designs are made to be reproductions of 18th and 19th Century quilts, most quilts are created with goal of being more lovely than what was made before. Consequently there are many differing and unique renditions of even the most traditional patchwork patterns.

Many of the quilts shown here are marked indicating that they are “available now” for shipment –we are usually able to ship quilts so marked no later than the next business day. Other quilts shown have been sold, but often we are able to find a very similar well-made quilt that can be shipped quickly. Alternatively we can arrange for a similar quilt to be custom made.

Take your time looking through our galleries, there is a lot to see. We try to show respects for the quilts and the quilters by properly showing them.

This quilt is even more beautiful than the photographs! Signed by C Jean Horst. Well quilted and pieced by a local Amish woman. This quilt is symmetric and may be used either way on a king size bed.

Lovely and amazing!! Made here in Lancaster by an Amish woman. This quilt is signed in pigma pen ink on an attached label on the back by C Jean Horst. All Jean’s quilts are American made and have a documentation label sewn into the back corner with the name of the quilt, quilter’s name, 100% fabric content and Made in USA.

The labor is all American made and have a documentation label sewing into the back corner with the name of the quilt, maker, date, fabric content.

Made by Lancaster County, PA young Mennonite quilt designer Connie Lapp and hand quilted by her mother. The back of the quilt is covered with the same tone on tone cream fabric as used on the front. This quilt would be great used as a crib quilt, small throw or wall hanging.

  • Traditional Log Cabin in a gorgeous variety of red and pink fabrics! Notice all the great fabrics with hearts and the coordinating hand quilted hearts in the border. This quilt would make an amazing crib quilt, wall hanging or small throw. The fabrics were chosen and neatly pieced by Lancaster County, PA young Mennonite quilt designer, Connie Lapp. It was nicely hand quilted by her mother. The back of the quilt is covered with a solid natural fabric.

The quilt was arranged by young Mennonite quilt designer, Connie Lapp. The fabrics were selected and pieced by her 9 year old daughter who did a very good job. It was hand quilted by the grandmother. A rare treasure!

Well made by Pennsylvania Mennonite quilt maker, Connie Lapp, and delicately hand quilted by a Mennonite friend. This quilt is sure to be a treasured heirloom!

The background fabric is a yellow / cream tone on tone cotton print. Made in Lancaster by a Mennonite woman and the quilting was done by a Amish women. The solid blue on this quilt is more subdued than shown in pictures.

This elegant quilt has fabrics with a soft gold shimmer. Notice the fine quilting with the feather design around the stars points. Fabrics chosen by a local Mennonite woman and quilted by an Amish woman in her home. It was difficult to bring out the true rich colors of this quilt in the photos.
